No government, no money. Those without guns better not have attractive females in their domiciles.

Makes you wonder if the people in the Tea Party protests would be better off if they achieved what they were campaigning for. Wasn’t there a saying that the revolution eats her children?

I think the more that they draw toons like this the more they show how little they actually know.

    • But they don’t want less government. Look at the positions of their candidates. They want LESS government in things they find inconvenient, like civil rights on the job, and MORE government in things they want to control, like pregnancy, masturbation, family, and sex. They want all of that with less taxes.

Major organizations have been sponsoring these “grass roots” meet-ups for quite some time. Fox News, for example, hosted a few rallies.

HA! This what the Tea-Partiers say now…but two months ago, when Arizona passed that anti-immigration bill it was….

“WHY isn’t the Federal Government doing MORE to protect the border, so the states won’t have to?”

And never, never forget…these same people who say they want less government now had nooooo problem with Congress passing a law back in 2005 aimed at curtailing the rights of ONE single family. ( Remember Terry Schiavo’s Law? )

And where was the Tea-Party crowd when Bush and the Republicans were the ones spending like crazy? Oh, they rant about it NOW, but when it was actually happening, all they did was call anyone who objected a, ‘doomsayer’.’

    • “Coward,” “Traitor,” “America-hater,” “it’s unpatriotic to oppose a president in a time of war,” I believe, are the ones I saw most often.

O’Donnell now wants everyone to keep an open mind. I find this incredibly ironic, but sure, why not. We’ll see.

She wants people to keep their minds open…and also their hands away from certain parts of their anatomy.

Some businessmen thought taxes were eating into the profit margin. They got some rabble rousers drunk, & aimed them at the government. The silly costumes may have been the mob’s idea. Blame everyting on someone brown or black. It’s one of our oldest traditions.

I would not be talking you do not have an open mind. All you do is come here and blast others ideas. Funny your icon shoots at what others are saying. Yesterday you took at my statement on Tom Auth on the Republicans were not kicked out. In 2006 they were kicked out of Congress and in 2008 Bush was not running but McCain was so yes we Republicans were. It is Ok to go after peoples ideas but not when you don’t give a few of your own.

Everything you say is left good right bad. I do some of that to sometimes but hey I criticize the Republicans because we did spend too much.

The Tea party has only excisted as a movement sense 2009.

    Chukl

Oh great bring in the race card really just get people all worked up as long as its your way. People are tired of false accusations of bigotry and the useful fools who use race.

Chuck on your statement what businessmen what are their names what are the name of their companies what method did the get these rabble rousers going and how do you know they were drunk? Have you ever attended a Tea Party and how come they keep finding people trying to make the Tea Partiers look like Racist. Truth is they are making the left look pretty backwards to me.

    • Why? The mess started long before that?

“I do some of that to sometimes but hey I criticize the Republicans because we did spend too much.”

    • Most of the lefties here, from what I’ve seen, have criticized Obama and Democrats.

halfabug: “I don’t want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.”… Grover Norquist

Drowned in the bathtub isn’t where we need to go halfabug. Norquist is one of the driving forces of the conservative movement.

I can’t think of anyone who lowered taxes and balanced the budget… maybe JFK, but at the time taxes were still much higher than they are now. Also, he didn’t have any wars abroad.

If you want to run no deficits, you may need to pay higher taxes. Social security puts more in the budget than it takes out of it (check how much SocSec and payroll taxes put in the budget). Medicare and Medicaid are popular enough that no mainstream politician would argue for their abolishment. What’s left - defense? I don’t see that happening, not in the US - neither party is willing to make significant cuts there.

The thing is, a lot of the deficit is currently simply due to the lower revenue which the financial crisis has led to. Recovery will bring in more funds to the state as well.

The tea party is an example of industrial control (the Koch brothers, Dick Armey) aimed toward citizens who, so many times vote against their own interests.

Check out some of the polls half the population of this country like the Tea Party we have Republicans and Democrats. Black, White and Hispanics. We have higher approval ratings then Congress and Obama.

We have above average education and we pay are own way.

Bill can you show me a link to one of these polls.

Here are mine first the New York times a left leaning Poll:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/15/us/politics/15poll.html

    CBS: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20002529-503544.html

And my faviorite Rasmussen polling services:

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com /public_content/politics /generalpolitics/april2010 /teaparty48obama44

The last one is the one that says most people favor the tea party more then President Obama.

Also we must respect the LA Times a left leaning new paper will actually admit that 41% of Tea Partiers are Democrats or Independents. God Bless the Honest.
