Sorry pal - he who lives by the wing-nuts will die by the wing-nuts. James Carville just ran a focus group (http://gqrr.com/index.php?ID=2398) where he found that self-described Republicans agreed that Obama is a socialist double-agent bent on destroying America, while self-described independents recoil from that kind of lunacy. Given that a majority of Americans (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/10/23/cnn-poll-gop-favorable-rating-lowest-in-25-years/) have a negative view of the Republicans, it looks like the GOP has alienated everyone who used to make them a representative, mainstream party.
BTW, it also showed that Republicans don’t mention race as a reason for their opposition. Good on ya, righties.

What’s the percentage of Americans that now identify as Republicans? Less than 20%, isn’t it?
C’mon, far-right-righties…go for 10%! You can do it!

While it’s true that only 20% identify themselves as Republicans, only 30% identify themselves as Democrats. That’s really nothing to write home about.
40% identify themselves as Conservative (“conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004.
Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal.”
But I hate to point this out. I like the left to feel over-confident!

Yeah but CWR, even those 31% who describe themselves as conservatives are to the left of the current Republican party.

God, how I wish.
Why do you Leftists have to lie about anyone not to the left of Karl Marx?
The GOP leadership is about as Conservative as John McCain. They are timid little media suckups who will support even radical feminists so long as they put an (R) after their names in any given East Coast district.
I can spit in my Party’s face without a qualm, whenever needed. We don’t have “yeller dawg” Republicans, we’re people who are into the rule of LAW not the rule of Men…
The GOP may well be the new whigs. Problem is, there’s no Republican Party to replace THESE whigs. We’re headed for straight one-party Demoncrat rule, with only pretend-phony “blue dogs” serving as the “loyal opposition”, especially given how few women are getting married lately. Single women are the most blindly far-left yeller-dawg Demoncrat voters in all of existance…

Scott I agree with you about the GOP, thanks to Bush the Republican party changed into WIN AT ANY COST- SAY AND SUPPORT ANYTHING AND EVERY THING PARTY (but once in power will drop the true conservatives, and start spending like mad, because we are GODS and will run and police the world.)
The 2008 lost was so complete that the only Republicans left in office were from small, hard core areas, and are marginal leaders at best.
I still think the Republicans will be back in power by 2012 because, as much as I hate their ATTACK - ATTACK - ATTACK policy, it works, it keeps things from getting done, and people will get tired and vote for change. And once again Bush type people will be in charge and screw up everything again.

Scott, just so we can understand why you have all this festering hatred, can you at least tell us why you hate women so much?
You must have gotten hurt pretty badly by one…
nomad2112 said, 27 days ago
Anthony 2816, this type of hatred is not gender specific. Some people just fear what they can not control or begin to understand. IMO cowardice and fear are the root of all hatred.

Scott obviously hates the majority of the population, Nomad, but he seem to have a special loathing for women, with the possible exception of ones who are married, subservient, housewives…and of course christian.

Lol. Ignoring the bulk of your demonization of me, I love how you used words in a NEGATIVE fashion which together added up into a true “helpmate” (well, “submissive” would be more accurate than “subservient”, but I’ll try not to nitpick).
That’s what women were created to be. Feminists hate that, turn women into “hurtmates”, and use politics to make sure all their views are taught to girls from childhood…
It is absolutely no comfort to me that women suffer misery from the affects of feminism even moreso than most men. Should it be?

I’m actually not seeing Mrs. ‘Phant trying to calm Johnie Wingnut down. Have I missed a recent case of the GOP trying to tone down the rhetoric coming from talk radio and the like?
ray32648 said, 27 days ago
No you haven’t. That requires both statesmanship and true conservative thought, neither of which exist in the GOP any more.
Anthony 2816

It’s not demonization, Scott, it’s just a restating of the obvious: You hate women, and think they shouldn’t be full humans, but should all be subservient (accurate) and submissive (also accurate) to the likes of you.
That’s grossly insulting to half the world’s population, the vast majority of which have no interest in being subjected to your personal biblical interpretation.
Why not try to check that enormous ego of yours, and instead of you deciding that “women suffer misery” from not living to serve you, ask them how they feel about it?
Similarly, you make a grave error in saying “most men” also suffer. My wife is my equal, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Just so we can understand why you have all this festering hatred, can you at least tell us why you hate women so much?
You must have gotten hurt pretty badly by one…

Anthony,
I read some of you other comments on another thread.
It appears you were a hospital corpsman in the Navy for 12 years.
Did you get kicked out when you got caught with one of the do not ask do not tell marines?
It is an ashamed that you have turned into a low life after you got out of the military.
I believe your exact words were pornography today and Islam tomorrow.
Go read your Koran and maybe after your Muslim president get outs you can go back to prison as an American terrorists.
I am done responding to you.

I was not a hospital corpsman.
I did not get kicked out for a do-not-ask-do-not-tell act, despite your wildest fantasies.
I have not changed (much) since I got out of the military.
You are not done responding to me.
You devote far more effort to making up lies about me than it would take to just answer the questions, or backing up your claims.
Unless, of course, your claims are also lies.
