First, I think the organization should be called “Empire Builders Anonymous,” then my guesses would be: England, the Soviet Union, and the Roman Empire, to name a few. Of course, you can’t really know their names because they’re ANONYMOUS!

Algurka: Right. Nation-building isn’t something that starts by bombing hundreds of thousands of innocent people to death.

Protectors against what, poopy? Those weapons of mass destruction turned out to be figments of somebody’s imagination.

Today, Iraq, tomorrow the world. “one quagmire at a time”.

al,
I know it was the biggest but England had numerous contemporaries. Don’t forget the French and most of the rest of Europe.

Then why don’t you join up and HELP protect our nation, sockpuppy?

Drain the swamp. I would explain more, but it gets tedious. I will grudgingly say attacking Iraq was a mistake if you say Clinton sitting on his hands was a mistake.

“I would say most all of the USA policies are a mistake. ”
Give me some example of policies that aren’t mistakes. Then I can judge whether or not you are a crack-pot and whether your statement is worthy of a fuller reply.

Ummm…. RR policy? I’m a strong supporter of my country but I’m trying to figure out where you got national rr policy as a +. The lack of governmental RR policy made it the poster child for ant-trust legislation. The early rr companies indulged in an orgy of harmful business practices that are truly amazing in their scope and number. Currently, our public rail system needs a heck of an overhaul. We don’t have nearly the type of access to rail transport found in many other places. Granted the U.S. population is more dispersed than Europe but there should be better regional networks. I’ll leave comments on the freight system to others. I haven’t spent much time looking into that side of it.
The interstate system was great when proposed. Luckily it was sold as a strategic necessity which pretty much guarenteed passage. However, quite a bit of it needs overhaul.
If RR are one of your positives I wonder if you’ve given the same amount of thought to your negatives?

American RR’s I think were rife with graft and corruption since their inception and as Gladius mentioned the interstate highways were sold as a means of self-defense by another evil conservative named Eisenhower. And as far as Anti-business fraud policies, the Republicans have their share of crusaders too…Wow, you’re making me be Republican again. If only there was a Republican I could trust…

So become a Republican again and get in on all that sex….

DrCanuck said, 4 months ago
Didn’t. Never said “all” Republicans have extramarital sex. But if you want to improve your chances…..
