That’ll show them…
Funny how the only one that wants it all on the table is Channey. Funny how Obama is picking a choosing and editing what is coming out.
I wonder how many different versions we will hear Pelosi read what her lawyers wrote out for her to say?
Machado said, 6 months ago
This one is very funny, even leftist/Liberal cartoonists are turning on her…
HOWGOZIT said, 6 months ago
Concerned–your first statement took away all credibility for the rest of your “column.”
Copperdomebodhi said, 6 months ago
Dunno where Sargeant is getting his information. Pelosi’s been calling for a full top-to-bottom investigation.
Cheney wants a few hand-picked memos declassified. He’s hoping that if he can show somebody confessed to something under torture, the rest of us will forget that it was counterproductive, unnecessary, illegal and wrong.

Human, I tend to ramble and then maybe post again when I think of something. I have tried to read some of your post. I have a word of advice for you.
Brevity
These are the political funny pages not some term paper to suck up to a over zealot prof.
Oh and I to glazed over and laughed at your 1st amendment. They are not here. Maybe we should act like them? no that would be to brutal. How about next time we compromise and just cut half the head off and only string up half of them on a bridge?
Nope we are better then that.

Concerned_Human your 2d paragraph is an oxymoron. There is no such animal as a “true liberal”.

I think we should honor Gingrich’s call for a “full investigation” of Pelosi. It’s so obvious that he’s just trying to divert attention away from Bush and Cheney, but any investigation of Pelosi can only lead to more exposure of what B & C did.
And then people will realize what’s more important: Whether or not minority-party Pelosi knew about it, or whether Bush lied to the American people while ordering torture behind our backs.

Anthony, it is indeed a diversion to put the onus on Pelosi, something the Republicans do often, to take away attention on Cheny and the Bush administration. By all means, investigate and bring the whole sordid mess into the light.

harley…and yet you’re okay with these ‘funny pages’ pages being used to trumpet the Fair Tax, even if the cartoon in question has nothing to do with that subject.

Now that is funny. But if your underlining message is not believed by you then you might as well keep your mouth shut.

Why is Pelosi the only one from the committee spouting off? She thought she could gain points for liberals and it has not come out that way–so like a liar she has to build/break down her previous statements.

And to repeat, investigate, bring the whole sordid mess out and sort out those that condoned and authorized torture.
HOWGOZIT said, 6 months ago
It wasn’t torture that is why the committee did not come out against it years ago. Pelosi is only one coming out now as she thought her spouting it being “torture” would gain the Democrats points.

Howie, if it isn’t torture, then why did we convict several Japanese after WWII for waterboarding our soldiers?
Is it only torture if others do it to us?
ralphman said, 6 months ago
The torture is having to hear about this bleeep day after day after day. If I was in charge there would’nt be anything I would’nt do to protect our country. Our enemies have no scruples of any kind about torture, beheadings, bombings, sneak attacks on this country or anything else that will run our country into the ground.
Simon_Jester said, 6 months ago
Except torture doesn’t protect our country.
It does make righties feel macho though.

Aw, Howie couldn’t answer my question…
Guess he’s not so sure that waterboarding isn’t torture after all.
Simon_Jester said, 6 months ago
Howdy, someone’s got to tell you this for your own good.
Are you sitting down?
Okay, brace yourself.
Twenty Four is a fictional series.
Easy…take a few deep breaths, you’ll feel better.
HOWGOZIT said, 6 months ago
Simon the WWF is fake also; don’t cry too loudly. Anthony I wasn’t there like you apparently were. I do not believe waterboarding is torture–period. Funny how you libs can change the subject away from moonbat Pelosi.
Simon_Jester said, 6 months ago
Funny how YOU can can say waterboarding isn’t torture, but still bash Pelosi for going along with it.
And before you say it, Bush and Cheney also changed their tune on the subject HOW many times?
HOWGOZIT said, 6 months ago
I am not bashing her for going along with it–I am as she keeps changing her stories (on all subjects) day to day.
I still do not believe waterboarding is torture–pulling out fingernails, breaking limbs and so on is torture to me.
ColPappy said, 6 months ago
ralphman,
I, for one sure am glad you are not in charge - End justifies the means is not a way to run a country - and it does not work!

Not sure Anthony–don’t really know what the Japanese waterboarding consisted of–anyone actually drowned?

Why not Google the subject, Howie?
Here’s a story about McCain saying that waterboarding is torture, mentioning the Japanese:

Here’s one that describes the Japanese practice; doesn’t mention death:

Hey HOWGOZIT. One of your rightwing talk jocks had himself waterboarded to prove it wasn’t torture. After lasting only six seconds of the friendliest boarding I have ever seen he declared that it was absolutely torture.
Torture is not designed to kill you. It is to make you wish you were dead.
