If the Republicans are so “dead” then why must the left CONSTANTLY attack them?

After all, they’re not a force to be reckoned with anymore, right? I mean Obama got a extremely huge 52% of the vote that no President has ever gotten before in the history of the country didn’t he?

GS, if the left attacked themselves, that would be silly.

“GS, if the left attacked themselves, that would be silly.”

Then they’ll get just as complacent as the Republicans did.

GS… the answer is very simple.

    We’re not attacking

    We’re COUNTER-attacking.

Not so Simon–Dems have been attacking and attacking since 2000–no counter attacks

You know, I was wondering if there were any people left who’ll still swallow what Cheney spews.

Now we know there’s at least one.

I have to say in my 66 years W has been the worst, most destructive President but leading up to the current debacle were many warnings. Nixon and Watergate and Ford pardoning Nixon only led to the Iran-Contra scandal and the impression that Reagan was either complicit or incompetent. Then HW does not follow up on Iran-Contra, letting Ollie North fall on his sword and not getting to the bottom of the sorid mess. If the current business of torture is not examined and dealt with it will be another terrible example of holding no one accountable. I think the matter of torture is not going to be ignored but will be dealt with.

Deadhead- Ollie didn’t fall on his sword, he stepped on a thumbtack and they pulled it out before he could bleed. Poindexter and others as well.

OMG Hogozit… it’s OK that you somehow liked Bush… but you can’t understand that he did ANYTHING controversial?! So you’re going to stand there and tell us he was perfect . You are utterly delusional!

  17. HOWGOZIT

    HOWGOZIT said, 6 months ago

No not perfect–the government grew and grew and spending increased–that I did not concur should happen. Worst ever is going overboard even for youngsters in their sixties.PS–if he were perfect he would have been a Democrat–LOL

My point is that whether or not you are able to rationalize the impropriety of ignoring threats (man-made and natural), emptying the Treasury into your friends’ pockets, increasing toxins in the water, removing mountain-tops for coal, politicizing the DoJ, invading Iraq and torturing people… you should be intellectually honest enough to understand that those things are going to p!ss people off.

So don’t pretend that we’ve been attacking Bush without any cause.
