Swine Flu cartoons are so ambiguous as to be sickening in and of themselves.
Michigander said, 6 months ago
Yeah, the smartest most dominant primate will be taken down by the swine flu, which has killed for less than the seasonal flu so far.
Simon_Jester said, 6 months ago
Yes, but even without turning dealy, this bug still has the power to create a worldwide panic.

Michigander; spot on.
Sooky Rottweiler says;
Bbbut…but woh will feed the dogs? and take them out? and change their flea collars?

You can’t spell “pandemic” without “panic.” But without the demos, it’s just sound and fury, signifying nothing…

MSM?
Given that you never post without some childishly derogatory reference to our president, I’m guessing it has something to do with him? Even though “ethically challenged” sounds like Bush & Cheney, I know you worship them.

I didn’t say you did, Stewie. I asked if you did, because I don’t know what you mean by “MSM”.
cdward said, 6 months ago
MSM stands for Main Stream Media – which for a neocon means anything that’s not Fox.

“MSM - the so called “mainsteam”, liberally biased, journalistically malfescent media which tries to manipulate the news, not report it.”
stewiez: I would like to not argue with you on this, but I would like you to take a step back.
If you’re 100% correct, can you please tell me WHY they would be that way? What is their purpose? What is their motive? What do they hope to accomplish by this manipulation?

stew - Fox is CENTRIST?? Ha! Great joke, dude. They proudly proclaim their rightwingedness, remember? They tried to pick Al Sharpton as a representative of the Left, which says all I have to say about their pretentions to “fair and balanced.”
No, Obama is centrist. Sheesh.

My favorite example of Fox’s bias was when Brit Hume was reporting (hard news, not opinion) on the Ohio exit polls in the 2004 Kerry-Bush race, and after reporting that exit polls were favoring Kerry, said (paraphrasing), “That’s no good; we need that state!”
Can’t get more “centrist” than when an anchor says something like that, huh?

When all life on this fragile ball is gone the virus will wait til something else shows up and start their life all over again

Check out “major extinction events” on Wikipedia. It may surprise you to learn the details of what loses and what wins…but nothing is forever.

Stewiez, Fox thinks they’re right-wing, too. Are you oblivious to all their internal memos that were released?
fennec said, 6 months ago
I wonder how many realize exactly how fragile the structure we call civilization is? There are so many instances of local breakdowns in history as hints, but it seems impossible for most of us to imagine anything different from what we have right now (think about how hard it is to remember how hot it is in summer when we’re in the middle of winter).

That idea is worth analyzing over a pint or a latte someday, fennec.
