Sooky Rottweiler says: I know a thing or two about garbage (should have seen the mess I did on the neighbor’s lawn this morning, woof!) and you just can’t hide that much.

A copy of this old cartoon hangs on my teaching studio wall. Lunchcounter waitress in Shoe: “It takes a lot of hard work to make a dream a reality.” Shoe, typing: “Yeah, it’s a lot easier to make a dream a delusion,”

Oh by the way it sure wasn’t just Bush that was at fault, both sides were equally at fault!!

Not equally – that’s a convenient myth. The neocon agenda came from Bush’s team. That team lied their way into the Iraq war, and fooled Congress into going along. Congress should have been more aggressive, as the press should have been, but it was all initiated by Bush. Similarly, the Republican-dominated Congress helped push through the economic factors that led inevitably to this recession. Again, Bush was the first “CEO President,” remember? It was right in line with what he wanted. Note how he instantly abandoned any campaign promise that got in the way of business, e.g., his “commitment” to CO2 control.
