    Ahh, I remember those turntables, Gramophones, we called them back then, as kids our parents wouldn’t let us operate them, they were afraid we’d break the needle or something so when they weren’t home, we’d sneak & put a record on & we would listen very carefully cause we knew our chances of listening to our fave records would be slim, music for kids back then was hard to access.

    they still make turntables, but they are at the opposite ends of the price spectrum. real cheap, or VERY expensive. Makes me wish I had sprung for that Thorens back when.
    The biggest turntable I ever used was on the radio station almost the size of a washing machine direct drive and you could adjust the RPM’s with that and the Green Giant® louzgen sized ribbon mike you could get very creative.
