    my husband has hair and he wears a hat every morning on his walk. Keeps his head warm when it is cold and since it has a light built into the bill, he can use it to help guide his way.

    Being nearly bald from thyroid problems, I find a wig serves the same purpose.

    You lose a lot of heat through your head, even with hair.

    Hair isn’t enough to protect from the cold.

    Most important parts to keep warm are head and neck followed by feet. Ben could find a hat or cap that fits his style, though. No one would believe the variety of them I’ve seen between old family photos and my re-enactment friends.

    @Dani Rice

    I’ve bought some wigs that are good to put on after swimming but way too hot and itchy to wear in regular times or all day.

    I’m sure you have treatment for the thyroid but doctors often don’t consider foods. See

    He could get a stylish Irish cap that all bald men wear.

    Air temperature has no connection with getting sick. This is an Old Wives Tale. Colds/flu are caused by a virus. While you may lose a small amount of body heat through your scalp, it is not enough to make a difference. Your body is self-regulating and will easily replace it.
