It is kind of sad if you are in a mall, pass a bookstore, (If they still have any) and some writer is in front at a table to sign books. And nobody is there to get one.

I went to get a Bob Hope book once, lots of people in line for him to sign it.

Usually they are people I’ve never heard of.

So happy for her. I recently took my 8 year old daughter to meet one of her favorite authors at the library. There were plenty of kids there and he didn’t just sign books, he interacted with the kids. A very memorable experience.

Next a book-signing with people who are actually ‘buying’ the book.

The first books are in lieu of birthday presents.
