I’m donating blood today too Ben. I’ve done it many times. Just listen to music or read while they’re taking your blood and you’ll be fine.

I’ve never figured out how to read while donating. One arm is tied down, and I can’t hold a book and flip the pages with one hand. Wouldn’t dare take an e-reader; too great a chance of dropping the blasted thing.

Ben must be younger than I thought, or the Red Cross has changed the rules about not donating once you are over 65. I used to be a regular pheresis donor, and between that and my standard donations, I almost hit 90 donations.

Bev, check again. My mother is 70, and we know other Apheresis donors in their mid to late 70’s. Unless there’s another medical reason you may be able to go back.
I’m hitting donation #200 Thursday.
