   Someone gave our rector a clock that plays Christmas carols on the hour. It was lovely – for the first day. Then he removed the batteries.

   When we can, we send things like that to my daughter. She gets a kick out of them and down the road, they will be collector’s items worth something.

    I took out the batteries from a clock that had birds chirping every hour. Drove me crazy .

    Which is why mom not only removed the batteries (easily replaced), but also hid the tree ornament driving her crazy. Dad & I have been unable to find the little bauble. But we do have batteries at the ready!!!
