Wait… I thought Beardo was around 30??? I graduated from college at 20. What the heck was he doing?

Maybe he’s a mature student. Do you have them in the US?

Sadly that is definitely true.

I think this is a classic Beardo. But I know a few people who have graduated college much later as they were going part time and working at the same time.

MFA degree, probably. One of my best friends got his, just because he wanted to. Never used it a day in his life.
Nowdays unless its in STEM areas (and not always even then, one of my fellow boy scout leaders has a masters in chem and it took him quite a while to get a full time job and that
s with being an Eagle Scout) most degrees aren’t worth the paper they are printed on.

Jimmyh is right. I pulled a few of my favorite “classic Beardos” to put to use after gocomics launched me. I’ve been out of college since 03, still using the ID occasionally, although my face isn’t matching up as well anymore.
I’m amazed that people are actually piecing together Beardo’s timeline, though!

In the states they are called “non-traditional” students.
