Unions, greedy hedge funds killed the Twinkie.

I heard people are buying up Twinkies in droves. Now people are reselling them on EBay for up to $75 a box. Talk about greed.

I know some strips are written weeks before we see them. Beardo seems to be much timelier. Wasn’t it only yesterday the Hostess news broke?

That company was in big trouble long before the strike. Union had NOTHING to do with it’s closing down other then being the scape goat. Do some research.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. While the newspaper does have more far off deadlines, gocomics allows for me to throw in a more timely comic at the last minute if I want to.
After seeing South Park’s “Six Days to Air” documentary, I was inspired. Those guys do a whole episode in…well, read the title!
So I’ve been challenging myself to try and keep an ear out for topical news that might be comic worthy, and make something to put out the next day. They’re not always winners, but it keeps the juices flowing.

Oh yes, by all means, lets point fingers at the rich again. It’s always their fault isn’t it. It couldn’t be the greedy bakers union who refused to accept the pay cuts necessary to sustain the business could it. Oh no, never. Because that would mean that the liberal ideal is wrong and we cannot have that now, can we. Oh no. Absolutely not. Perhaps we can find a way to blame the demise of Hostess on GW Bush. Would that make you feel better about yourself?

Go to a small town grocery store. They will still have plenty of them on the shelves. Those things are overpriced.

The cartoon is funny and timely.
But is it saying that the filling killed Twinkies?

The rich have most of the money and most of the power so yes if it fits.

Now that I’ll never have a Twinkie ever again, I’m really craving one.
