Why does this make me think of the hair gel scene from ’There’s Something about Mary?’

Wouldn’t hair gel make him unable to move when it dried?

Definitely not a dilemma. That’s when you have to choose between two bad alternatives. This is a mystery, a conundrum, an enigma, or maybe a puzzlement, but not a dilemma.

    circumstantial only.
    .
    And
    .
    Dilemma
    1. situation with unsatisfactory choices: a situation in which somebody must choose one of two or more unsatisfactory alternatives
    2. argument leading to undesirable choice: in logic, a form of reasoning that, though valid, leads to two undesirable alternatives
    .
    .
Maybe the dilemma involved the thought that Thor or BC took it.
Reasonable to think someone must, but undesirable to consider either of them might be guilty.
Enter a third choice and the dilemma dissolves under the numbers being greater than two.
(Yes, I had to twist to get this solution, but I’m trying to protect the artist.)

“I’ve solved the mystery of your missing hair gel” would have been more correct.
