I’m 24, hell I wouldn’t mind if my mom triple checked everything. I don’t want my death to look like suicide

    re: Brian K

during the years I lived alone, I made it a habit to check and make sure everything was off before I went to bed. No one else was going to notice if I’d forgotten to turn off something that might overheat or come apart.

As my father concluded after decades of being a grown-up son: in the eyes of a protective mother, you are never more than twelve years old.

My wife does home health for a woman who has a 22 year son who she litterly won’t let him change a light bulb on the front porch because he’s “scared of heights” I can stand flatfooted and reach it. He won’t get a job because he may have to walk too far from home. You can walk one end of that town to the other in half an hour. Course our taxes support them.
