    Chili con carne is spanish for Beans with Meat
    Chili means beans.

    I don’t care what it’s been changed to by the Texas (and other places) Chili eaters/makers who claim that chili is meat.

    say it right! Beans! and sure, with spices to make them more palatable. More or less spice, to taste.

    I prefer chili with venison or beef;
    turkey and/or pork is ok;
    chicken … not so much.
