   One of my favorite lines from the series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”: Giles was telling Buffy something, starts out with something positive, then pauses. Buffy looks at him and says, “You have ‘but’ face.” His expression was priceless!

    You don’t? It’s a play on words: Person A says something. Person B (contrarian) says, “But….” and says something to the contrary.
