No one will miss a mosquito…

I’d like to know what these 3/4" metallic gold-colored moths are. The recognition books and websites don’t list them, but I’ve seen them in a number of places in central and eastern oregon.

An old ‘flame’ did that to me once…

Metallic gold colored? Would that be all the hard money flying out of California due to the lousy business conditions created by all the left wing eco-freak politicians here?? The only two places in the whole country that are worse for business than California are New York and New Jersey!!

Can you be more precise about locations, habitat and time of day? I’ve seen similar along the Mackenzie, late afternoon in Cottonwood groves. The general area you describe is home to many unique flora, mammals and insects…including my family.

They can sometimes be seen near lights in Bend well after dark. I’ve seen them while camping out in the ochocos at places like Delintment Lake and Emigrant Creek. They are attracted to lamps, lanterns and house lights.
