Don’t know about the States, but here in Barrie, Ontario, pretty much everything is closed.

It is too bad that everyday is a slacker’s holiday because the only people who still work on the holiday get the job done.

Labor Day Weekend = our anniversary. This year, it’s #29. (Although our actual anniversary is 9/3, we always celebrate it the entire weekend.)

Congrats to you. It’s ours as well 23 on 8/30 so we celebrate all weekend as well.

There are a few of us who have worked all weekend and will work today even though the office is closed! (work for a veterinary and someone has to tend to the boarding animals and clean the place)

I looked at the strip, and I didn’t get the connotation. After reading the comments, I am more cornfused than ever!

Well, someday I’ll grow up and it’ll all make sense to me. Someday…

For the 52% who live on the shoulders of their neighbors, there’s no change on Labor Day. Many of these actually need the help, and they’re welcome. For the rest, let Labor Day be your Opposite Day indeed.

I still don’t get the “Opposite Day” for today’s strip.

    But happy Labour Day everyone!
