    Sad thing about this is it is true, there are jobs available but they are not what people want to do so they’d rather not work.

    He forgot to pick up his unemployment check.(Or are they still on the clam standard? Haven’t seen anyone paid in clams for a while.)

    Geoducks are incredibly difficult to catch. It’s a multiple person job to catch a single clam because of how fast they can move.

    @angelfiredragon

    So is this what this strip is about? The old “people don’t want to work” – myth? That’s sad.

    @Omega Dragotroid

    Not so much how “fast” they can move but more how deep they are in the sand/mud. That "fast thing you are chasing is the neck..

    and they are long lived, 100 to 190 years. the biggest weigh 15 lbs and and have six foot long “necks” (or trunks, if you’re chinese, they call them elephant clams)
