Must be a government thing. After all it wasn’t totally wasteful.

Nice try, but it wasn’t like that. But let’s not let taking a dig at the lumber industry get in the way of a not funny strip

There’s a government in the time period that this strip is supposed to be based?
Except for the Stone Age hammer B.C uses when he is chiseling the pointed pole, all of the hardware tools are of the 19th and 20th Century types. Even the chisel is a modern one.
In the panel where the word “SHUCK” appears, the tool is a combination sledge hammer/mattock. He’s using the mattock side to chip off the tree bark.
I have used an axe to split firewood and I have used a cross-cut saw to cut down large trees and cut them up into short lengths.
I have used a wood chisel; but, not for cutting firewood.

Do not waste those trees. Why? Because without O², everythng will be dead anyway.

The irony of it all. A toothpick from a large tree. Doesn’t that tell us something!!

And we all wondered why Al Gore worry about the ecology. Those eight panels explains it all.

Has BC been taken out as a daily here on GoComics? Cuz I could only find Sunday’s version - nothing else.

I will comment on today’s BC strip
And a comment made by a drip
It’s all in color like the weekend type
It just gives a lot of hype
And to the drip the middle finger we will flip!
