Johnny Hart’s classic strip, B.C., puts a caveman twist on everything. From philosophical ants to punny bits of unconventional wisdom, you’ll see why this strip has been a favorite for so many years.

Given his haircut and profile, I’d say it was Thor. The color version confirms this; it has brown hair (while B.C. has red hair).
Don’t be too alarmed, Thor. If he really wanted you to be food (rather than merely wanting to be fed), he’d be working on your throat already.
Hey…this could indeed be a historic moment: the domestication of the dog! And to think that Thor, inventor of the wheel and of the traffic jam, gets this honor too!

Good one, Lewreader!! LOL!
I would say with those spindly legs on that meaty body that Thor (or whoever) has a good chance at running.

I stand corrected. The colorized version @comics.com confirms it is Thor.

All I know is, it ain’t Peter – he would have known those pointy teeth are canines, not incisors.

it is a shame that B.C. here is not in color….don’t misunderstand, I am glad it is here….but wishing for color cannot be a sin.

That is Thor in today’s trip. If the above folks clicked on the link to the artist’s website and the “actors” link and then the “B.C.” link, they would see that it is Thor.
In the color version of today’s strip, he has brown hair.

Keep him; a dire wolf would make a good guard dog for your apple rock.

Today’s strip and comments are truly extraordinary, thanks .

If that “doggie” had only one fang, he might bark with a lisp.
ARTH!
fritzoid said, 3 months ago
I remember a sequence from one of the old books where the cute chick thought the antearter was a doggie. He was of course deeply offended, but when she patted him on the head all he could say was “Arf!” The cute chick has that effect…
My only concern with introducing a dog into the strip is that it may lead to the appearance of a cat, and who wants THAT?

Definition of dplomancy is saying “nice doggie” till you can find a big stick

With a friend like that, who needs enemies.

It’s a Rin-Tin-Tin ancestor! Or since we are in comicworld, a (Lucky Luke) Rin-Tin-Can ancestor!
KingRat said, 3 months ago
It’s a crossover comic, thats Kenny from The Dogs of C Kennel by Mick Mastroianni (Mick’s brother Mason is currently drawing BC) with some plastic vampire teeth.
