Basic Instructions started out as a small side-feature Scott Meyer created to entertain people who came to his website looking to hire a comedian. It wasn't long before the comic was far more popular than anything Scott ever did as a comedian.
Basic Instructions is a series of guides meant to help you lead a better life. They cover topics as diverse as "How to Deal with Boredom" and "How to Travel Back in Time to Deliver a Dire Warning to Your Former Self". Basic Instructions is populated with exaggerated versions of Scott, his family and his friends, which has caused no small amount of unpleasantness.

That public school method has been outdated since 1927.

The private sector is almost always more effective. Why do you think parents run to get vouchers for private schools?

Anither repeat.. wonder what the reason is this time?

Then why does Medicare operate at far lower cost and more patient satisfaction than private healthcare?
And for the record, the private sector always wants a PROFIT. Where do you think that comes from? For-profit schools (like the many for-profit universities) don’t plow their money into teaching…

And yet many of them STILL have better teachers that the public schools do

Scott wanted to tell you again. He was afraid you missed the point the first time.

The ‘Private Sector’ makes employees take classes that go exactly like this.

“Informative”. Is that like “information experience” or “informationesque”?

Yes, they want a profit. That’s why they usually do better. Why capitalist countries thrive over communist countries.

Are you on crack or just stupid? Medicare is going bankrupt! Just one of the many fraudulent selling points of “Obamacare” is that it would stop the hemorrhage of money thrown into the Medicare sinkhole. This claim was vindicated, ina bizarre sense, when it turned out to be simply a $716 billion raid on Medicare funds (that’s 716 thousand million to you uninfirmed Obama voters). Countless studies have demonstrated that High-School Diploma stay-at-home moms do a better job of educating their children than your Holy Teachers’ Union “Public Education” and looking at the end results of Public vs. Private in terms of career outlook there is no contest, even when the private schools under consideration are Catholic schools that have only recently stopped teaching that the Earth is the center of the universe. So go to the back of the class, with the rest of the ignoramuses and do what public school grads do best; write a 10 page BS essay on how special you are.
