    Cynthia has ignored the fact that if everything is by chance, even her arguments are arbitrary and have no weight.

    What takes greater faith? To believe that an overwhelming complex and razor-sharped & balanced universe came from nothing (defies cause and effect…) or that some eternal outside force intelligently designed the intricacies of quantum physics, founded the elements, forged time and space and created the awesome beauty and delicate complexity of life?

    Even if you don’t buy into creation by God, you have to come to grips with the fact that you still follow a religion. Instead of putting your put your faith and destiny into a hands of a loving God, you stake your eternity on the godless supremacy of humanity, that time and time again shows that it is incapable of anything but selfish short-term love and evil long-term suffering.

    I’d say a balance of forces, not “razor sharp” are more believable than a super genius intellect existed before the formation of the Universe (all the Universes) before it began. All in the myriad mind of Man.

    Religion has to have a god(s), prayers, supplication, etc. Science has none of these.

    @ColoradoRon

    Supremacy of Mankind? Please, how egotistical of you.

    Didn’t work for Calvin either, Cynthia. Do your research; it’s fun as well as informative.

    Cynthia is using her brain. Kudos for that. Now to study to the next level of argument.
