Barney -- J. Barnard Pillsbury -- is the billionaire founder and CEO of Pillsbury Pharmaceuticals. Barney thinks he has it all: power, wealth, a pampered existence with a statuesque trophy wife – until he meets Clyde Finster, an intelligent, entertaining (and possibly crazy) street person. Clyde's satisfaction with his circumstance surprises and confounds Barney, whose success in life has been hard-fought and won. For Clyde, Barney's acceptance is validation of a life lived without compromise.

It looks like the three sets of people (4 total) with exactly 15 items are actually all one family with 45 items.

So he changed his name to Less. You wouldn’t change it to Fewer.

That she can´t count to 4?

@Tue Elung-Jensen
We learned earlier that she can do complex math in her head, so that ain’t it.
I thought the point was that because each “person” had exactly 15 items that the less or fewer argument was moot. But then I looked a the picture.
Still, nothing against a family splitting up to make a purchase. It’s like a marriage penalty. And I doubt very much that Barnard follows the intent of every business law / rule, which is why he is so wealthy.

THANK you. It wasn’t at all obvious to me that they were a family till you said it.

Father and son: same hair, mother and daughter: same hair. All have same nose, mouth, eyes, etc. Ergo: family. Of the two kids in the middle, one will make the purchase, hence “three people”.

Being wealthy doesn’t mean you cheated. Everyone is given different opportunities in life. Those lead to more opportunities (good and bad). Success is a combination of self-determination and events out of our control. It’s wrong and frankly juvenile to say every rich person cheated.

Whether they’re in a hurry or not, this is probably the least efficient way to check out.

@ossiningaling
There is something wrong if they pay it all at once and not 4 separate times.
