Barney -- J. Barnard Pillsbury -- is the billionaire founder and CEO of Pillsbury Pharmaceuticals. Barney thinks he has it all: power, wealth, a pampered existence with a statuesque trophy wife – until he meets Clyde Finster, an intelligent, entertaining (and possibly crazy) street person. Clyde's satisfaction with his circumstance surprises and confounds Barney, whose success in life has been hard-fought and won. For Clyde, Barney's acceptance is validation of a life lived without compromise.

Now that is a keeper. It may be M.C.Escher’s birth day.

Pretty cool!

@night-gaunt49. Nice try, and I wish I’d have thought of that myself. M.C. Escher was born on 17 June 1898 and died on 27 March 1972.

Cynthia may become my favorite young girl in the newspaper comics.

An artistically genius tribute to an artistic genius. Brilliant! Surrealism at its best! ☺

One of my favorite pieces of Escher from the first time I saw it as a boy was “Relativity”. It is one of the wall papers I use on my computer.

@Michael Ford
I should have looked it up. I have always loved how he did that artwork.

I believe it was Mr. Escher who said he didn’t need hallucinogens since he had plenty in is dreams!
