I suffered through another migraine today, all because I can’t afford Imitrex at $17 @ pill. And that’s after a discount.

At sixty years of age I can still thread a blommin’ needle; never did like those threader contraptions!

I buy all of my drugs from e-mail offers. It is very cheap and I haven’tnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoticed any problems or bad side efffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffects. Once you get past the funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny taste and weird colours of your urine it’s alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll OK.

If I were to use an online “pharmacy” (one I found, not one that emailed me) it would still cost me $65 @ 5 pills. I may have to risk it (if, and when I can scrape up the money). These headaches eat up way too much of my time. My head still hurts.

Apples to oranges comparison here, The case in Mass at the lab with polluted drugs shows you have to pay to keep a lab and production sanitary or people die. A dirty needle threader – less likely to happen.

It’s available as a generic now. Check that out.

Sadly, generics aren’t always just as good. Some medications are strongly affected by the type of inert ingredients used to make the medicine easy to take.

You have my sympathy. I’ve had migraines for years, but mostly “silent” (visual only) ones.
I hope you feel better, soon.

Your post is very funny, and not at all funny at the same time… is there a word for that?

Are you lucky enough to be nearsighted, too?
I just love that my close-up-eyes allow me to see those very close to me, clearly, without having to scramble for my glasses.

I feel very fortunate… and, if my house is less than perfect…? I take my glasses off, and I’m living in a Monet.

Believe it or not, those are the generic prices.

Thanks again. I just had one two weeks ago, too. They typically mess me up for two days.

    … two days, really? Yuck!
That really su…. stinks! Do your (way overly expensive) drugs — avoiding going on a rant, here — really seem to help you? I have to hope that they could, and do… but I’m sick that you don’t have access to them.
    .
My heart’s with you, kiddo. Pain really su… stinks.

    @Bailey

If taken early in the episode, they shut it down completely. Any of the triptans will do. Imitrex was just the first and, I assume, cheapest of the lot. There is also Zomig, Maxalt, and Amerge, among others. Some going for > $30 @ pill. When you consider the misery they can prevent, they are still a bargain. I just can’t afford them.
