Barney -- J. Barnard Pillsbury -- is the billionaire founder and CEO of Pillsbury Pharmaceuticals. Barney thinks he has it all: power, wealth, a pampered existence with a statuesque trophy wife – until he meets Clyde Finster, an intelligent, entertaining (and possibly crazy) street person. Clyde's satisfaction with his circumstance surprises and confounds Barney, whose success in life has been hard-fought and won. For Clyde, Barney's acceptance is validation of a life lived without compromise.

Yeah that drives me nuts. Especially when you turn the appliance on and the outlet lights on fire (that actually happened to me a couple of times).

You’re not an electrician; are you?

If plugs were all three-prong, would be there fewer mistakes or would the odds go to 1 out of 3?

Actually you can get a much higher percentage of being correct by simply paying attention to what you are doing.

File the wide blade down so it’s the same size as the smaller one.

Would it still work? If so, it would defeat the purpose.

This has nothing to do with today’s strip, but I recommend that everyone test their outlets for proper grounding.
This is an important issue for us guitarists, as an improperly grounded amp can kill. And there are typically no warning signs. The amp will work un-grounded, but if you are in contact with the strings and provide a route to ground with your body……zap.
