    Not with the old cars. Simple enough most people can fix a lot of things on them. I have a 1965 Ford ranchero, have changed water pump, sparkplugs and such things, never would do that on modern junkmobiles.

    There used to be room to work on them. Even to work in them. I once found myself upside down, and almost completely inside an engine compartment.

    Adding such complexity you need more knowledge to operate and repair. But until every person has at least one Ph D it won’t work without automation.
