Barney -- J. Barnard Pillsbury -- is the billionaire founder and CEO of Pillsbury Pharmaceuticals. Barney thinks he has it all: power, wealth, a pampered existence with a statuesque trophy wife – until he meets Clyde Finster, an intelligent, entertaining (and possibly crazy) street person. Clyde's satisfaction with his circumstance surprises and confounds Barney, whose success in life has been hard-fought and won. For Clyde, Barney's acceptance is validation of a life lived without compromise.

Bravo. Cute. Nice way for Messrs. Weingarten, Weingarten, & Clark (doesn’t that sound like a law firm?) to do a collective D’OH!

Presumably they wanted to add a person of color and thought nobody would recall the minor character. Worked for Dick York and Dick Sargent for most of us viewers.

Poor Dick York, he was so sick during the last years of his life. But he had a caring wife. Found out about it way back when I still watched Entertainment Tonight before it became too glamorous.

Well, there’s probably a need for more than one. Just look at how many folks correct internet grammar.
