Correct. Sadly, far too adult for most people. Now, the image of a squealing piglet running down the street voiding its bladder, that’s a combo shot.

In Turkish, your toes aren’t even toes. They’re “foot-fingers.”

Are Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, and Pinky real “official” Names?!? Where is the Office of Finger Naming located?!?

Couldn’t swear to it, but I’d imagine “thumb” is pretty “official.” I mean, an orthopedist might refer to “first finger, second finger,” and so on, but I’m guessing that a thumb is a “thumb.”

Actually, s/he’d probably use the Latin, but even there it’s set apart, as pollex. (rather than one of the digiti).

Just for snerks and giggles, I went to google translate, and it DOES have Latin! But I don’t know any of the other names for fingers without actually using the term ‘finger’…..“Pinky” came up same in both, so that must be a euphemism; not official.
…..Interestingly, when I translated ‘Thumb’, up came Pollice….the Verb for “To thumb” [it lists Nouns, too].

It was “Little Finger” in Canada when I was wee. I never heard “Pinky” until I lived in the ‘States.
    But now it’s common.
