I don’t trust me that modern medicine stuff, I’ll stick with my magic healing stone.

“helping others” while helping yourself to all their money is such a wonderful feeling. Big Pharma& Big Health Insurance, saving you from the burden of how to spend your money.

As usual, Clyde poses questions, but never solutions.

I just realized that Clyde’s hat looks a lot like the hat that Padddington Bear wore in the books I used to read as a little girl. Hmmm…

This is obnoxious. Medical science, while hardly perfect, is light-years beyond Charles II. Clyde implies that modern chemo is the equivalent of “medical” efforts based on superstition and speculation, none of which was based on the scientific method. Doctors at that point didn’t even study anatomy directly, let alone perform surgery, which was done by low-class butchers. By the way, bleeding was NOT done with leeches, which indeed do have some modern medical uses. Furthermore, chemotherapy is tailored to the type of cancer, not administered at random. It has improved so markedly that there are many forms of cancer that are essentially curable that were fatal twenty years ago. There are criticisms to be made of Big Pharma, but this one is simply ignorant.
