Small towns are frequently antagonistic about what they view as the many shortcomings of city life. One I lived in once published in its weekly newspaper a block of nothing but black ink about 4 inches square. The caption said “This is a happy young girl playing in the park in city X.” -—I’d also make the point that urban types have many misconceptions about small towns. That’s what Corey plays on in this strip. Personally, I prefer the small towns. But they both have their places.
