Oooh, that’s cool! I need one of those. With glitter wings! Wheeeee! Harry needs to shut the heck up and read his paper.
Is it Christmas already?
You can find your own wings right here: http://www.amazon.com/FashionWings-Feather-Costume-Butterfly-Cosplay/dp/B001GH37WE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367818778&sr=8-1&keywords=fashionwings
James Cagney was a very versatile and talented actor. You should definitely take a look at “One, Two, Three” also. It’s quite different from most of his roles.
He’s being pretty judgmental, isn’t he?
I mean, she’s trying to be good.
What an angel.
Sorry I didn’t make it back earlier…but hey, even though this strip is for Monday, the sixth, in California, it’s still the fifth!
So Happy Birthday, again, X!
Tomorrow night I’ll be back on my own computer, where I can post links and pictures and stuff without disaster….
A bell must have rung…..
Another birthday drink? I’m buyin’.You too, Bev.Radish?Grog?Marg?
Oh… Brian…. you too.
A margarita for Bev, please Fenton…And a Guinness for me.
Cheers, Susan! ;)
About my birthday party there was something I wanted to say. I left myself a note here somewhere…
Ah there it is…What I want to say is…To the party plannersTo all who attended To all the well wishers
and to the party planners, I would say you’ll get yours but then some of you all ready have.
Awwww, you’re certainly welcome! It was great fun! Let’s do it again next year! :)
Our pleasure, X!And yeah… I already did.No question.I owed ya!
G’night, Bev.. sleep well.
Now that I have a cab company (Thanks Bev) maybe I’ll become a Chauffeur, then agian maybe notChauffeur Blues
&64;SusanGlad you’re getting back to your own computer, cos we all remember THE DAY THE DATA DIED
A little taste for the change of seasons.Albert Collins – Thaw Out
Here’s a band I’ve seen several times at the local and street fairs.Annie Sampson
This computer is so wonky, I can’t open things in a new window or it freezes.
So the only way I can listen to the music links is to look at Ballard St on my phone … and a couple of those won’t play in mobile…sigh….
I’ll be so happy to get home!
Hi Red…. I offered everybody a drink a while ago….
Fenton… put Red’s next one on my tab.
I gotta straighten everything out with the Monkey when he gets back, and I KNOW there’s credit on my tab.
X…. you didn’t say what you’d like….
here’s a little wine I had left over…
Or if you don’t care for wine how about your choice ofOne Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beerrepeat as desired
Well… it’s not really the drinkable kind… but that one’s good too…..
Guess I’m just Drunk Again
Sorry guys…. great music, great company…. but I’m falling over in my chair….
I’m always up later than this, but it’s been a couple of long days….
I’m going to have to say good night.
Happy birthday again X …I still owe ya some tunes.
Oh, and Pacopuddy, sorry…. Bev went to bed ages ago….
And I see on refreshing that Red left too.
So…. good night, X, and Fenton…..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I’ll pass on that drink, Susan. I’m getting ready to head into work and I’ve got an early morning cost review meeting. Thanks, anyway.
I think Janice may have had a few too many Red Bulls.
One of those ropes breaks and Janie’s may be going to heaven a bit prematurely…
And your blues too, X! Another Happy Birthday. My lover’s oldest girl looked like tree in my mural was growing from her head there. Costumes are fun and I like wigs or masks of papier mache. I never keep a mask (or sunglasses) on in a photo because faces should always show.
Imagine looking out your front window and seeing Janice! Whoa!
bev, I had forgotten about “One, Two, Three”. That was good. Fellow Baby, if you haven’t seen it, (but you probalby have), you should watch it.
A typo on probably. Oh well! :-D
After the sadness I just read over on Endtown strip. I needed a good laugh. All he is waiting for is a breeze to float her away on gossamer wings. Then he can get back to doing man things.Like reading the paper. Scratching. Eating. Drinking beer and think about seeing something naked. Taste depends on how much beer is consumed.
X, Happy day after. I’ll go up and peel some garlic and make egg white omelet (Dr did not like omelet “every day”) but heck! The white has no cholesterol (or flavor w/o my Tumeric/Cayenne mix). I’ll have pasta and TVP tomorrow!
Least she is over the whole “basement troll” thing.
Janice has out done herself; this is so far over the top. The girls from the study group are coming and Janice can see the excitement on their faces, the flooder in the air, astonishing, higher than holy smoke, better than any shinny, this beats any of Mrs. Nimmer’s secrets, plus it’s on the front porch for the entire world to see. It’s no surprise they are having angel air pasta and wedding cookies for lunch. Janice is not sure her high heels were made for this, but performance is up and show goes on. Oh shut up Stan, aren’t the guy who came home last month without his pants, well aren’t you???
“You make it hard for me to be outside, Janice.”…“Your butt is so darned cute from this angle… and it makes it hard… hard on me…!”
Happy Day After X! Susan, you and Bev and Stel have no tabs. Fenton and I cleared them up last night. It was pretty much my only contribution to the party and I was so happy to do it, (by the way, Susan – you should really tell the little monkeys that putting edible glitter on banana peels does not make a well rounded diet for little guys, so I am bringing them a honey ant farm)
@ X TECH Heres the card I didnt post yesterday…lol…but its ok for today!
long as she makes it hard
He says it’s only when I’m around ;-)
“Yes, a little glitter can make all the difference.”++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++It certainly can! Janice looks great with glitter! Why…. I didn’t even recognize her!!! That glitter has taken at least 50 years off of her…better than the “Lifetime Lift”!
I guess I will take Susan up on her offer to “glitterize” me for the next party! I just didn’t realize how much younger it makes you look!
===========You should definitely let Susan glitterize you! She can fix you up from head to toe and she never overdoes like some places. Why, people are constantly telling me I don’t look a day over 20. It’s gotta be the glitter! But whatever you do, don’t let Munky try to do your nails or anything! Just sayin’……..
bev, I’m afraid I haven’t seen that one either. But I have Yankee Doodle Dandy and The Bride Came C.O.D. in my collection
If there’s a Cagney movie on TCM, I’m not likely to miss it – especially if it’s a movie I haven’t seen before.
That invention makes me want to run for the hills! I imagine that’s what the cows would do too!
@GrogI’ve seen both of those. They’re good! TCM runs “1,2,3” every once in a while. Have you ever requested them to run a particular one? I have. They don’t respond to tell you but they ran it.
I didn’t think you could make requests, bev.
I’m not sure how many Cagney movies I have. I’ll have to do a count after I’ve finished watching The Lady Vanishes.
I discovered it a long time ago but haven’t tried lately. I should try to find it again and then I’ll tell you how. You don’t have to pay anything but have to be signed in with a user name. Hmmm, can’t even remember it now! LOL
I suppose as often as I watch that station, I should sign up.
I have 16 Cagney movies, 33 Bogart movies.
I mean I watched the “Caine Mutiny” starring Bogart last night on TV. I didn’t watch it with Bogart. snerk…………..
Well, bev the main advantage of owning the DVD’s is being able to watch them when I want to watch them. I also have Giant and _The Caine Mutiny.
Across the Pacific, Action In the North Atlantic ,Angels With Dirty Faces, African Queen, The Big Sleep, Bullets Or Ballots, Casablanca, Crime School, Each Dawn I Die, G-Men, Key Largo, Maltese Falcon, Petrified Forest, Public Enemy, Roaring Twenties & White Heat are just a few of the others I haven’t mentioned already.
All those old movies! I’d always prefer some of my favorite actresses (but I’d watch the Bogarts and Cagneys with my man if he chose. Nowadays he mostly watches Science channel and History. I just had a show about the early First Ladies recording tonight on CSPAN from 6-7, but they were in the midst of some economics of illegal immigration and I watched that as it recorded (tho’ I prefer to watch anything serious early in the day, to not disturb my sleep). It is now recording 7-8 as I expected so I’ll watch the Grant family tomorrow ;-).
I also did not know that TMC or any would respond by showing requests- nice! I had asked many times for replay on PBS of a pair of light operas by Offenbach that aired way back the year before I started at Zenith and bought my first VCR (one of many Beta).
And yes, I own some of their movies as well.
@Grog, some of my DVDs overlap with yours but I long since stopped keeping track of them. I still have all my VHS as I’m too lazy to get them sorted and dispose. Many of my favorites I’ve since purchased on DVD. My favorite movies are not US made- big fan of Ken Russell and of his best leading man, Oliver Reed (now both diseased unfortunately) and there are a few Felinis that I particularly love.
Time for me to turn in.
I’ve replaced many of my favorite VHS movies. Some died on their own and others I replaced before they had a chance to get mangled in my VCR.
I now have over 500 movies – mostly classics from the 30’s – 50’s and many of my television favorites from the 50’s – 90’s.
Now I should turn in for real.
Me too. I had to turn on a light to see the keyboard. This weather is so darned delightful that I have to have fresh air all day long. I think my new diet may actually be helping with my allergies because just a few sneezes.
My doctor cannot understand how I have so little change in my comfort and life with all these drastic resrictions in diet. It is almost as tho’ he thinks I’m cheating (if I do, I SAY so) and Tho’ he says that people who have at least 1-2 drinks every day can’t just stop and stay off (as I have) it IS TRUE! It is much harder to resist chocolate (which I did at the start, even tho’ I believe the ration I allow is GOOD). I was happier when he gave the OK to that. I have chosen not to travel during this (partly the expense of all the supplements) and missing my man (since Jan 21) is more difficult than any food!
@Grog-one last thing (just read yours): I love following Betty Davis and Joan Crawford all the way from their days as screen beauties to “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane”
@GrogAcross the Pacific, Action In the North Atlantic ,Angels With Dirty Faces, African Queen, The Big Sleep, Bullets Or Ballots, Casablanca, Crime School, Each Dawn I Die, G-Men, Key Largo, Maltese Falcon, Petrified Forest, Public Enemy, Roaring Twenties & White Heat are just a few of the others I haven’t mentioned already.………………………………………………………..I think I’ve seen all of those. I’ve seen African Queen and Casablanca and Maltese Falcon several times, and I watched Casablanca and Maltese Falcon quite recently. Public Enemy is the one where he was delivered, dead, to his family’s front door, right? That is one of, if not the most chilling scenes I’ve ever seen in my life. The ones I’ve figured I’d want to see again I’ve recorded onto a DVD from the tv, but I know your professional quality ones are much superior. But I’m not one to be highly ‘into’ such stuff. I don’t even care one way or the other about having HD. Hubby likes it though. But he doesn’t watch movies. LOL
Here’s the tune It’s my partyBut after catching the blurb Lindsay Lohan Calls Rehab ‘Pointless’ I’m inspired to new lyrics. don’t bother with the article (if you can call I that)
