    I’m sick to death of the ads for the Quentin Tarantino flick eating up all my broadband.
    I’m not going to see it. Movies that are hyped all to crazy like this usually aren’t any good. I won’t even bother watching it when it comes on Starz.

    Well…. he’s standing up, isn’t he?
    What else do they want?

    Stew has been honing his craft for 6 months, ever since the KrabKakes and Kettlekorn Komedy Klub took over the old Salvation Army store location at 64th and Ballard, and started holding open mike night.

    This was supposed to be a stepping stone to better gigs.

    He painted the sign. He practiced his lines…. all starting with “But seriously, folks..”
    And then he said something serious.
    With a laugh.
    That’s some funny stuff, right there.
    Comedy…. er… Komedy GOLD, he says to himself.

    All free if you buy even just a small kettlecorn, or a slice of their iconic 24 Karrot Kake.
    Tough audience.

    @Rad-ish

    I’m too cheap to go Pro. I don’t mind the ads, as long as they’re not in motion to distract me. Enough with the Iron Fisting already.

    Firefox with addblocker and No script gets rid of those bandwidth eaters anywhere. And doesn’t cost a dime.

    @SusanSunshine

    How about a Little Wishbone Ash along with your nightcap…. Throw Down the Sword…….
    _____________________________________
    Throw down the sword,
    The fight is done and over,
    Neither lost, neither won.
    To cast away the fury of the battle
    And turn my weary eyes for home.
    There were times when I stood at death’s own door
    Only hoping for an answer.
    Throw down the sword,
    And leave the glory –
    A story time can never change.
    To walk the road, the load I have to carry
    -
    A journey’s end, a wounded soul.
    There were times when I stood at death’s own door
    Only searching for an answer.

    Rista… that’s what I had…. some ads were gone, but most banners and sidebars remained…

    Pro removed it all… and it’s 99 cents a month…
    without having to block scripts you might want to allow, or ever think about it.

    I can’t afford cable or to subscribe to the newspaper,
    but I spend a lot of hours here.

    Just happens to be worth it to me.
