Hi, everybody…. I’m back!
And we’ve got a great StelBel poster to talk about…. an oldie but a goodie, as they used to say….
in the June 6th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can find on Sherpa

One of my all time favorite films, too….
Rocky Horror Picture Show…. Basset Edition!
Look at the legs on Tim Cur!
It’s funny….I first saw him in this role…. playing a self-described “Sweet Transvestite” … claw polish and all…
and thought that he would look handsome and … well…. sexy, in a basset sort of way…. if he ever dressed like a male.
But actually, I decided cross dressing had been much more flattering, when I later saw him in boy-dog roles.
But all the roles in this film are excellent.
The innocent young couple, the Transylvanians, too many other parts to list…
but I must mention Richard O’Basset…. not only his phenomenal voice, and wonderful role, as Ruff-ruff…
but he composed the music and wrote the unforgettable lyrics.
There was a human version, as well….

I can’t accuse them, this time, of copying the basset film….
Both arose from the stage show…
“The Rocky Horror Show,” … also done in human and basset “editions” …. sort of a joint venture.
Practice up!
It’s just a jump to the left…
and then a step to the ri-i-i-ight…
Put your hands on your hips,
And bring your knees in tight…"
There’s a midnight showing Saturday, at the BassetplexII…. and it’s only $3.78 if you’re in costume!
Get another dollar off plus a small bag of kibblecorn if you bring two cans of food or a bag of kibble for the Cuyahoga County Basset Food Bank.
