    Reminds me of pocket screws. Person took apart a dishwasher to try to find the source of a problem, located and fixed the problem, put it back together, ran it, heard no problems, saw no leaks, then found a screw lying on the floor. Recounted the story to a tech help rep, who told him it was a pocket screw. When homeowner asked what a pocket screw was, he was told that a pocket screw is one that, if you put the appliance back together and everything works properly, goes into your pocket.

    and always lay the parts out on an old sheet in the order you took them out. and always label the plug wires and the valve covers
