    been there, done that, got in over my head climbing the sandstone cliffs of Palos Verdes in Calif. one day. Got to a point that I didn’t see a way up, but there was no way to pick my way back down either. I went ahead and somehow, miraculously, I made it to the top. I felt like Baldo is feeling, that’s for sure. It was about 150-200 feet high where I was. There was a switchback style stairway right there, too, but at 22 yrs old I was a dummy…
