In some cases, if you lend people money, you never see them again. With some people, it can be worth it.

A man solved the problem of constantly visiting relatives. He borrowed from the rich ones and loaned to the poor ones. None of them ever came back.

You don’t lend money. You give it away, and if it comes back to you, you consider it a gift.

AMEN brother. Been my way ever since the first money I loaned was never repaid.

I was so disappointed. However, I valued the friendship and rather than have him avoid me, I returned the IOU with the admonition that should he be able to pass along help to someone in the future, consider it a repayment of this loan.

Lending money, lending books … bye bye to one and the others … A few times I had to spend some additional money to buy the books again. Of course, you cannot buy the money you have lost :/
