Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

What is wrong with sponge bob? One of my daughter-in-laws won’t let her kids watch it.

Maybe if he cut out so much of that game playing he would have time.

As for SpongeBob, we watch it at my house all the time. There is some potty humor but I don’t know why someone would think it is bad. Different strokes for different folks.

My mom asked me to ban Sponge Bob for my kids. She said the characters are mean to each other and people are supposed to laugh at it. I haven’t watched it enough to know, but that seems like a good reason to ban it if true.

My kids all know that SpongeBob is my nemesis. I hate that piece of yellow cellulose. For the most part, the entire show is second-grade boy humor, and I get more than enough of that with the television off. As for the characters being “mean” to each other, that wasn’t really something I noticed. Yes, SpongeBob and Patrick annoy Squidward a lot, but it isn’t ever malicious. They are just . . . dorks.

Hey, that looks like a ‘62 Ferrari on the cover of Hemmings Classic Cars magazine he has. That’s a million dollar car.
