Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

My first wife was Puerto Rican by birth. Some of the foods she cooked would have repulsed most of the modern US population, but had their roots in the rural tradition of not wasting food from any source.
Red beans with pig’s feet, fried pig tails, and fried, chopped salt pork mixed in rice. These might repel some people, but they are tasty.
I miss her and her cooking.

she hadn’t cooked it yet. Both boys thought it was hands on food. It wasn’t.

Hmm, seems as if she tried to make cookies .desiided against it. Then try d tuna casserole. Didn’t work out, S o she cleans the. Pan with syrup. Then finished off with a really… Chocolatey muffin mix, or really lumpy oatmeal with brown sugar?
