Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

Had that done with pen-pal of mine a few years ago. We’d just text each other rather than call. We finally met face to face in July 2007 at Hilo, Big Island, Hawaii where she lives. Then some time after I got home, we lost contact; we don’t talk anymore.

I can hear Everybody hurts by REM at the end of your comments.

Sadly, some people just don’t understand…

Poor Baldo. Never try to tell your heart that it doesn’t want what it wants, or that it shouldn’t want what it wants. It won’t argue; it won’t even listen. It will just go on wanting, and complaining if it doesn’t get it. All you can do is face up to the fact — and then let your brain have the final say. (Easier said than done!)

Yep there is no way Baldo can break Estelle and her boyfriend up.

Did I miss something? What happened with the empty paper bag that Tia’ Carmen found in Baldo’s room?

Well, maybe he’s got a chance after all.

Better to face up to it then spend the rest of your days anguished. You move on and live the life you’ve been given..if its meant…it will be.
