    If I remember right, this guy was well on his way to becoming assistant manager there at one time

    Bill McQueen, he was basically being promoted for doing nothing. The others were not happy.

    Actualy Mr. Rod was correct in promoting him. The rest are just temporary while they are in school or looking to get a better job. He was the only one not going someplace else. So you promote him and give him the chance to step up. If he doesn’t you get rid of him. Which is what Mr. Rod did.

    I thought the same as Potrezbie. Checked the publication date on this and its 2007. Must my age advancing on me, but I don’t remember this guy at all and I’ve been reading Baldo since its inception.
