Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

I have a life, whenever the weather is nice.

mr. navarro has a great looking yard and his expression shows he is proud of it.
i can deal with the falling leaves, i just don’t care for all the snow that too soon follows it

Bald 716, the snow is much nicer generally than the grass that follows the snow and (optionally, depending on how many and what type of trees you have) precedes the leaf season.

I often have smart-alecky people on the internet tell me to get a life.
I already have a life and that is being retired.
Sergio must be referring to be able to get a life after Baldo grows up and leaves home.
Baldo needs to get a life and respect his neighbors.
Mr. Navarro apparently is retired and since he enjoys working in his yard, he does have a life.
Doing yard work and gardening is hard work; but, easier to do if you enjoy doing it.

I’ve always hated yard work.
Lately I’ve been doing all the yard work at my lady friends’ house.
For some reason, I don’t hate it anymore.

Our family loves gardening, even though our garden is only 20’ by 10’. We normally get a nice harvest from it when the frost doesn’t get it first.

When I was growing up my mother made me help her work in the yard. I hated it but I didn’t want my mother to have to do the physical labor. Now I enjoy working in the yard and gardening. I can’t wait to retire and be like Mr. Navarro.
