Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

How about a Tuesday morning poll?
How many here have actually gone out and met with somebody they’ve met online, and if you have, how did it go?

I’ve been living with a woman I met online for over 12 years now. It’s going fairly well I have to say.

I’ve never met anyone in real life that I met online.
I did use a local dating service for a while, but it had an office and live human beings.
Met a few very nice ladies, nobody special.
Met my lady friend on my own, after the matchmaking contract expired.
Go figure.

Not me but an American colleague met his Thai wife online and it’s worked for them for a number of years so far.
And some years ago I met a French man and a Japanese woman who met on line and later married.

I met 10 people in RL that I first met online on the X-Files board. I still correspond with three of them today. We had a
lot of fun together.

Well, since Baldo is 15 going on 16 and the woman with the deformed legs and feet is going on 23, he should just get a real life and let her go.
If he wants a relationship with an older woman, he had better wait until he’s at least 18.
Has he claimed to be of legal age on facebook?
Cruz getting Baldo to say that he’s wearing Superman pajamas aloud when he’s really just holding a cutout in front of him is funny. Cruz wearing Spiderman pjs would make him look like Peter Parker got bit by a spider that made him turn into Spider-Hulk.
I have met some people online whom I later met in person.

I’m afraid Baldo is way out of Yenny’s league.

Seems like Yenny has a basher on here. JAD seems to have a steady problem, emphasizing his dislike for the exaggerated natural assets on Yenny, drawn by Dave for exaggeration purposes. No offense to Carlos, but Cruz has a huge balloon like chin, a funky shaped head and eyes that are very close together and I don’t see one snide comment or any negative emphasis on him having a deformed face… what gives dude? I thought we were here to enjoy the nice humorous comic crossover, not to make constant critique on the guest’s body parts…
They’re toons…exaggerated features like the ones on Yenny, Baldo or Cruz or any other character are what makes them wonderful as fictitious comic characters and nobody else here seems to have a problem with it.
