What they are calling “Spanglish” was called “bizcochos” (literally, “biscuits”) in my college Spanish classes.

Bizcohos, aka USA/Mexico border slang, was a combination of Anglicized Spanish words and Hispanicized English words.

I had to know some Spanglish/bizcochos when I was an Enumerator for the US Census in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles in 1990.

Although I had the questionnaire forms in Spanish, there were times that I had to translate the formal Spanish into Spanglish, even with people who spoke almost no English or Mexican uneducated Spanish only.

Does Spanglish mix Spanish and English together? Sound weird!

“Burrito” is a comic book; not a comic strip.

Oh poor Clark/Kal-El, Bruce, Diana and Wally.

But surely Clark was able to catch on in foreign language class at Smallville High; he has super hears.
