Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

I have found empty packages of some rather interesting things hidden on the shelves while I’m stocking groceries.
The most common things I find are make-up and cold medicine packages.
A few times, I’ve found empty condom boxes.

Hey Doctortoon, I have the same thing while I work at Wal Mart. I found so many things under the shelves, in the shoe boxes and somewhere else. We as the workers toss the empty packages in the bin for stolen merchandises. The bin for stolen merchandise is full of empty packages. And also, I found stinky rotten worn-out athletic shoes in the shoe boxes after the customer put brand new athletic shoes on and walked out without paying. And yeah, I found empty condom boxes and pregnancy test, too!! Sheeeshhhh!

jmworacle, I think you’re being too hard on Joey. He’s lazy and less than honest, but I don’t think he’d ever out-and-out steal.
If you suggested to him that being paid while doing nothing was a form of stealing from his employer, he’d be horrified. (I don’t think he’d change his behavior, but he’d squirm at the idea.)

Where I work I usually find lots of item that those scumballs snag! One story I remembered was that there was a well dressed woman & her two daugthers (also well dressed) that came in my store to shop. A few minutes later me & another employee noticed a”trail” of opened boxes of cookies & bags of chips. My manager confronted the trio & asked them to leave & not come back! Later on my manager told us that he got the 411 on the trio from another supermarket & told us that the other supermarket banned the well dressed trio as well (who where in fact Gypsies) because they were caught “grazing” (eating merchandise without paying for the product) on store property! But the worst case i’ve seen are people going to the service deli to purchase items, eating the items (including hot foods) & shoving the empty packages in the aisles & that includes stealing hot roasted chicken from the packages & leaving the packages behind! Hoo boy!
