Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

Well, you got to equivalent of Super Bowl once and lost the game at that point, Sergio–not exactly something to sneeze at!
(despite of my complete-plus lack of understanding of “football”, North American definition…)

I tried boxing in the Air Force once. They grouped you by experiance. I was in the group were you had less than 3 fights. Turns out they only count the fights after you turn 18 so my opponents 40 fights he had before 18 were never mentioned.

I was in a fight with a guy about ten years ago that had boxed professionally.
I didn’t know that until after.
I didn’t do too bad.
He split my lip open, but broke his fist on my face.
Then he broke his nose on my fist.
His boxing buddies gave him a pretty hard time about being taken out by a little guy with no formal training.

When I was 16 years old, I met a guy who attended the same church I did who had been a State Golden Gloves Champion when he was younger.

Sergio thought he didn’t do very well in boxing but he had good experience in boxing. It would be in good memory, though.

Leaving feet first….on a gurney….with no idea who won the fight…Here’s a hint Papi…it wasn’t you.

I’ve talked my way into many fights, and after getting punched, talked my way out of further damage. I consider that a victory.
