Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

Tia Carmen tempts to buy the lottery ticket. Don’t know if she will win or not.

Eh. The only way to beat the odds on the lottery is if God WANTS you to win, and if God wants you to win you only need to play once. I played once, I didn’t win, and so it would be foolish to waste any more money on it.
But giving God the benefit of the doubt, I’ve told him that if he ever DOES want me to play again, he should make the jackpot equal exactly $77.7 million. If I ever see a sign posting that amount, I’ll buy another ticket.

…that doesn’t work either :(

I don’t gamble, because it’s just a waste of money.

It’s only a waste of money if you lose…
I’ll sometimes place a small bet on something if I like the odds, but I won’t play anything where you have to beat the House. In the long run, the House ALWAYS wins.

I play the lottery …I admit it…I consider it a safer bet than what the Gov’t offers these days

The lottery IS a Government offering…
