Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

At least he doesn’t have to scrub them by hand!

tia carmen should have baldo and his friends clean up after dinner

I think Baldo is the dishwasher, and Tia is doing the loading.

What load of those dishes Baldo carrys while Tia Carmen washes in the sink? WOW! LOLs! Wish they should have dishwasher that will be much easier than wash those dishes by hand in the sink. I love eating enchilada, burrito and taco. Delish! :-P But not refried beans because it has too much gas to fart.

sigh that’s the one thing me and my hubby always argue about. I don’t think a dishwasher is necessary. He refuses to get a home without one. So, we compromise. I use the dishwasher as a storage cabinet for pot lids.
Wildmustang, where are you from? I love the way you write. Very original.

RRAmom, I think you called that one right. and fitting it is. Tia Carmen teaches life’s lessons by living the right way.

Hope Baldo doesn’t have friends stay over too often- a herd of teenagers can easily blow the week’s grocery budget in one sitting, even with relatively low-cost dishes. Not to mention, how did Carmen COOK all that stuff so fast? (and a turkey?!) Most teenagers announce that everyone is staying maybe 20 minutes before sit-down time. But nice of her to make the effort- best way to make sure a kid has good friends is to have them hang out at your house.

I am an American, a hearing impaired and use my primary language as American Sign Language. Live in Sparks, NV near Reno, NV. :-)

Oh. How very interesting!! Sorry for assuming because of the unusual writing that you were a foreigner, but you wouldn’t believe the way some of my immigrant nurses write reports. Almost funny at times.
My friend just visited Reno. Never been there, but would LOVE to see it. (Would love to see anything besides Florida, really.)
